Vehicle for carrying out work on the underwater parts of a floating structure (B). It comprises an elongate lower portion (1) and a turret (2). Its draught is adjustable by means of ballast tanks (7). It is brought into contact with the floating structure (B) and two panels are opened to expose the latter's plating and base inside the vehicle after inflating a seal (13) around these panels. Work can then be carried out in good dry conditions. Application in particular to flat-bottomed barges and ships. <IMAGE>
