- The blowing pressure for light arc extinguishing is produced by the light arc heating gas in a pressure collection volume (7). In the casing (1) contg. gas-form extinguishing medium are two contacts (2, 3) working in conjunction with one another, of which at least one (3) is connected to an operating unit under the effect of which it is moved in the casing between 'on' and 'off' positions. - The breaker has a storage volume (8) contg. a fluid, a gel, a powder or a foam. Where a fluid is involved this can contain a cpd. contg. C and F or other halogen, or be a fluroated carbohydrate or a fluorated oil. Such substances is fed via one or more channels (23) to the area where the light arc is burning during an 'off' manoeuvre. Through the effect of the light arc, the substance is evaporated, contributing to the pressure build-up. |
