摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the resolution of positions, by bundling scintillators of many layers, coupling the layers optically, and detecting the incident positions of radiation into the scintillators and the depth positions of the light emitting points in the scintillators. CONSTITUTION:The title detector is composed of scintillators 11 comprising, e.g., three layers, a reflecting material 13 and an optical position detector 15. The layers of the scintillators 11 are coupled so that every layer is shifted by 1/3. Of the scintillation lights generated by gamma rays (a) which are absorbed with the scintillators 11, the lights directed in the reverse direction are diffused. The most of the lights directed toward the detector 15 are outputted. The center of the gravity of the space distribution of the light on the incident surface of the detector 15 is obtained. Thus, the incident positions and the incident depths are detected. When the space distribution of the light is obtained, the depth-position information is obtained. Therefore, the resolution of the positions can be improved.</p>
