<p>A photosensitive reagent e.g. a gelatinous suspension of silver chloride is uniformly applied to a thin transparent foil which is then layered with subsidiary foils carrying reagents of different sensitivity and diffusion transferable via the foils. The entire bed is clamped in a lateral margin frame and a breakable sachet attached to one end. Undulations may be included in the margin to improve uniform surface coverage of the treatment liquid contained in the sachet over the exposed plate, resulting in a full colour positive proof on exposure to the image source, diffusion transfer of reagent and subsequent rupture of the sachet.</p> |
