Inoculation materials are combined with at least one marking antigen which gives a specific biological reaction to the inoculated humans or animals when a corresp. antibody is encountered; this enables humans and animals who have been inoculated to be distinguished from those who have been infected naturally. Suitable marking antigens include microbial (e.g., diphtheria) anatoxins, vegetable anatoxins, vegetable proteins, vegetable enzymes, animal toxins, eel serum and animal proteins, which are pref. adsorbed in a carrier material. Prefd. combinations are brucella vaccine in combination with 40-60 units of diphtheria anatoxin adsorbed on calcium phosphate, and BCG vaccine in combination with anaricin in an amount corresp. to 2,000 lethal doses of ricin.
|
