ELECTROMAGNETIC ACTUATOR FOR AN ELECTRICAL SWITCH

An electromagnetic actuator with a two-limbed, angled yoke (11), whose one (first) yoke limb (12) is firmly connected to one end of a magnet core (10), characterised by the magnet core (10) having a continuous, constant cross-sectional profile and a slightly smaller length than the external length (L) of the second yoke limb (13). This magnet core is inserted in a bonding manner into a cut-out (14) in the first yoke limb so deeply that the end surfaces (15, 16) of the free ends of the magnet core and of the second yoke limb are located precisely in a common plane, without reworking. The yoke and magnet core are firmly connected to one another in this position by means of laser welding. In this manner the production costs of the assembly unit consisting of the yoke and magnet core are significantly reduced without adversely affecting the quality requirements.
