PURPOSE:To form a heat-resistant molded article of calcium silicate usable at high temperature of >=1,200 deg.C, by constituting a mixture of aluminum oxide and alpha-wollastonite. CONSTITUTION:This heat-resistant molded article of calcium silicate consists of a mixture of aluminum oxide and alpha-wollastonite. The amount of aluminum oxide based on alpha-wollastonite is preferably 2wt.%<=-<=30wt.% in order to prevent reduction in strength of the molded article. The heat-resistant molded article of calcium silicate is obtained by molding a mixture of a calcium silicate raw material and aluminum oxide and transforming the calcium silicate raw material into alpha-wollastonite. One or a mixture of tobermorite, xonotlite, beta- wollastonite and alpha-wollastonite is used as the calcium silicate raw material. |
