PURPOSE: To cancel an erroneous operating mode by performing suitable mode management at all times by automatically setting a standard mode when a different type mode is canceled or a power source is turned off by providing a standard mode storage part and a mode control means. CONSTITUTION: A RAM 33 stores the standard mode in an ordinary transaction standby state and different type modes such as various kinds of processing modes excepting for this standard mode or a test mode for investigating the throughput of a device. In the case of mode control, any prescribed mode is inputted through a ten key 18 and at the time point of switching from the standard mode to the different mode, the RAM 33 is set to store the original standard mode. Next, when canceling the different mode and when turning on the power source again, a CPU 31 reads the standard mode out of the RAM 33 for recovering the original standard mode and the automatic recovery control of the standard mode is executed. Thus, the suitable mode management is performed at all times, the erroneous operating mode is canceled and burden for clerks is reduced. |
