<p>An implement for automatically milking animals, such as cows, comprises a milking parlour and a milking machine (14) with at least one milking unit (33). The milking unit (33) is movable in the vertical direction by means of a control apparatus and being connectable to the teat (17) of an animal's udder. Each of the milking units (33) comprises a cleaning device (16) and a teat cup (15) movable in height relative to the cleaning device (16). Cleaning takes place after connection of the milking unit (33) to a teat (17) and before the subsequent automatically performed milking operation, whereby the milking unit (33) remains in alignment with the teat (17).</p> |
