PURPOSE:To realize the output of the information on the 2-bit digital copy control signal recorded on a recording medium by using the output signal of a copy control signal deciding part to control a copy inhibition bit setting part and a category code setting part. CONSTITUTION:The output signal of a copy control signal deciding part 22 functions to control a copy inhibition bit setting part 29 and a category code setting part 30. In other words, a 1st category code is outputted with no copy inhibition bit added to the digital output signal in case the copy control subcode signal shows a digital copy enable state. Then the 1st category code is outputted with a copy inhibition bit added to the digital output signal in case the copy control subcode signal shows a digital copy unable state. In case the digital copy is possible with the limited number of generations, the copy inhibition bit is added to the digital output signal and at the same time a 2nd category code is outputted. Thus the information on the copy control subcode signal can be put on the format of the digital audio interface signal. |
