PURPOSE: To eliminate the loss of radiation by slightly increasing the angular width of radiation sensitive region using an aperture, a resonance cavity, a film, etc. CONSTITUTION: A radiation passes through an aperture 9 and enters a resonance cavity 10 having rectangular cross-section formed in an extruded article 1. Consequently, a reflective layer R is supported entirely by the wall of cavity wherein the reflective layer R exhibits scattering characteristics and does not exhibit absorption characteristics although it may be mirror finished. A radiation detector is contained in the cavity 10 and provided with a film 11 supported by a frame 12 passing through the center of narrow width of cavity 10. Since the frame 12 is also reflective, the surface of film 11 and the aperture 9 provide a radiation absorbing section in the cavity 10 thus increasing the surface area of film 11. The planar end face 13 of extruded article 1 is closed by the a planar reflective surface to complete the cavity 10 and to form a reflective end wall for the conical part.
