<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a specific yarn capable of readily and simply restoring to the original shape by low-temperature treatment even in case of transformation by external force, having beautiful appearance and rich in toughness and endurance, by attaching or impregnating a shape memory resin into a yarn. CONSTITUTION:A yarn is attached to a shape memory resin such as polynorbornene or impregnated into the resin and dried to provide the specific yarn. For example, a yarn 1 wound on a tube is pulled out by feed rollers 15A and 15B and guided by a guide 13. The yarn 1 is further sent out by delivery rollers 21A and 21B. When the yarn 1 is sent out, the yarn 1 is attached to a polynorbornene solution 17A in a treating tank 17 and successively subjected to drying treatment with a heater 19, because the yarn 1 is brought into contact with a rotation roller 17B and traveled.
