PURPOSE:To prevent the change of the target steering angle of a rear wheel at the time when a front wheel swings delicately right and left by determining the target steering angle of the rear wheel based on a controlling front wheel steering angle in which hysteresis is given to the detected value of the front wheel steering angle. CONSTITUTION:In the captioned device in which a rear wheel steering mechanism A for steering a rear wheel is displaced by a driving means B, a front wheel steering angle detecting means C detects the actual steering angle of a front wheel. Also, a controlling front wheel steering angle determining means D gives a defined hysteresis to the value of the actual steering angle of the front wheel detected by the front wheel steering angle detecting means C to determine a controlling front wheel steering angle. The target steering angle of the rear wheel is determined by a rear wheel steering angle determining means E based on the determined controlling front wheel steering angle, while controlling the drive of the driving means B so as to make the rear wheel steering angle the determined target steering angle through a drive control means F. |
