PURPOSE:To produce a latex type anion-exchange resin by adding the suspension of an ion-exchange latex to the slurry of a polymer gel with the subsequent agitation thereof and thereafter mixing the same with a multifunctional epoxy compound for reaction for a predetermined time. CONSTITUTION:A polymer gel having the sulfone group in compliance with reaction process and having hydroxyl group, halogen group or epoxy group is diffused in a small amount of an organic solvent and ion-exchange latex is thereafter diffused in this organic solvent, thereby forming the slurry of the polymer gel. The suspension of the ion-exchange latex is gradually added to this slurry of the polymer gel and, after agitation thereof, the slurry is mixed with a multifunctional epoxy compound to form a fixed polymer layer. A reaction initiating catalyst is then added to said mixture, whereby the mixture undergoes reaction at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined time to produce an anion-exchange resin. |
