<p>PURPOSE:To desulfurize accurately, by making a sulfur compound-contg. reductive gas contact with a desulfurizing agent having low equilibrium desulfurizing efficiency to gas temperature, pressure, and composition on the upper-stream side and then with a desulfurizing agent having equilibrium desulfurizing efficiency on the down-stream side. CONSTITUTION:After dust is removed by a dust removing apparatus 5 from a reductive gas 3 contg. sulfur compounds such as H2S, S, COS, CS2, etc., and generated from a gasification furnace 2, the gas at about 300-600 deg.C is introduced into the first desulfurizing tower 7 and desulfurized roughly by a desulfurizing agent having low equilibrium desulfurizing efficiency to the gas temperature, pressure, and composition and then finely desulfurized by a desulfurizing agent having a high equilibrium desulfurizing efficiency in the second desulfurizing tower 8. On the other hand, reproduction by O2 is carried out in the desulfurizing tower 7', 8'. As a desulfurizing agent, oxides of Cd, Zn, Pb, W, Co, Mn, Ni, Fe, and Mo, and CaCO3, K2CO3, Na2CO3 are used and the compounds in the order stated have higher desulfurizing efficiency and is provided on the downstream side.</p> |
