PURPOSE:To effect oxygen enrichment by means of a device of small size, by attracting magnetically oxygen gas molecules that is a paramagnetic substance, by means of a strong magnetic field in cavities between filaments of a filament layer, allowing the molecules to be passed through the cavities to be separated. CONSTITUTION:Main suction means 12 is provided in succession to a main flow passage 6 through which air to be subjected to an oxygen enrichment treatment is passed. Filament layers 10, disposed in such a way that their surfaces are faced with the main flow passage 6, are composed of accumulations of filaments comprising superconductive materials in which a large number of cavities extend continuously from the surfaces to the rear surfaces of the layer 10. Further, an auxiliary suction means 15 is provided in succession to an auxiliary flow passage 14 through which the air having passed through the filament layers 10 is guided to the outside. Consequently, oxygen in the air can be enriched by the magnetic separation technology, in which flow resistance can be considerably decreased in comparison to the conventional oxygen enrichment membranes. |
