HEAT-INSULATING AND SOUND-INSULATING PANEL

PURPOSE: To obtain good heat and sound insulating properties and aesthetic properties and to facilitate maintenance and control by providing a heat sealing film activated by heat and having low steam permeability and an aluminum foil having a specific thickness or less between two layers of an insulating layer and a surface material. CONSTITUTION: A heat and sound insulating panel is constituted of an insulating layer of mineral fibers, especially, glass fibers bonded by a synthetic resin and a surface layer comprising a glass fiber sheet and a heat sealing film low in the permeability to air or steam and an aluminum film with a thickness of 9μm or less are bonded between these two layers and the aluminum film is bonded to the glass fiber sheet. The use of the aluminum film and the heat sealing film enables to obtain a laminated surface considerably reduced in permeability. The heat sealing film is activated by a heating table or other similar means.
