PURPOSE:To manufacture and machine each gear precisely by making the tooth form of a face gear of an oscillating and rotating double-sided gear as a specified tooth form to be meshed with the tooth form of a fixed both-sided gear. CONSTITUTION:A both-sided gear 10 having face gears 11, 12 on both sides is rotatably supported on an inclined shaft portion 2 connected to an input shaft 1 through a bearing 3. The tooth forms of the face fears 11, 12 are formed in such a manner that angles B deg., C deg., of inclination of the faces gears 11, 12 obtained from an angle of inclination of the inclined shaft portion 2 with respect to an axis A-A' of the input shaft 1 and an isometrical rotational displacement thetaround the axis A-A' and a rotation angle DELTAA deg. satisfy three equations: tanB =(COSthetaXtanalpha), tanC=(SinthetaXtanalpha) and DELTAA=DXtheta/N, wherein D is the number of differential teeth of a face gear to be meshed and N is the number of teeth of the face gear of the both-sided gear 10.
