发明名称 OPTICAL SHUTTER ARRAY
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To lower the driving voltage to be impressed and to obtain an optical shutter array having excellent optical characteristics by arranging plural pieces of optical shutter elements which are three-dimensionally formed to both faces of a substrate consisting of a material having an electro-optic effect and providing electrodes to the opposite surfaces on both sides of the elements. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of the optical shutter elements 11, 12 are three- dimensionally formed on both faces of the substrate constituted of the material having the electro-optic effect, for example, a PLZT plate. The corresponding discrete electrodes 14, 15 of the optical shutter elements 11, 12 are connected to a common electrode 13 and the discrete electrodes 14, 15 are connected respectively by electrode lead parts 14l, 15l to a driving circuit. The substrates on which plural pieces of the three-dimensionally formed optical shutter elements on one face of the substrates may otherwise be joined to each other. The optical path length for polarizing light is then increased even if the substrates are not cut deep by cutting and the driving voltage to be impressed is lowered; in addition, the damage and work strain at the time of the cutting are decreased.</p>
