PURPOSE: To mold a tire with good reliability and reproducibility and to prevent arch-vent passages clogged when a tire is detached from being left, by providing a double-wedge-shaped arch vent means for a rib means in the vicinity of the inside outer peripheral surface of a mold cavity and passing air derived above the outer surface of a green tire therethrough. CONSTITUTION: Arch vents 40 are formed by a tread ring made of aluminum charged in the periphery of a ceramic arch vent insert 50 and the width of the bail 51 of the arch vent insert 50 is set to a dimension range wherein a bottom part becomes smaller than 0.1" (2.54 mm) at the relatively opposed bottom parts 54a, 54b where end parts 52a, 52b meet with each other while increases from about 0.05 in.(1.25 mm) at its intermediate point. The bail 51 has a double-wedge shape and the bottom part 54a of a wedge-shaped part 51a is formed in predetermined length and an under surface 55a is inclined at an angle R of about 30-50 deg. with respect to a horizontal plane. |
