PURPOSE:To simplify a mechanism and to effectively utilize the space in the title apparatus, by providing a means for bringing the first pinch roller into contact with a feed roller under pressure and a means for supporting the shaft of a feed roller with respect to the frame of the apparatus in a movable manner in a direction not approaching a recording head but separated therefrom. CONSTITUTION:A positioning plate 9 for determining the feed position of a recording medium is vertically provided to the central part of a frame 1 along the scanning direction of a carriage 3 and a pinch roller 20 is brought into contact with the feed belt 19 of a feed roller 18 under pressure by the energizing force of a spring 21. In this case, since the feed roller 18 is shakable by a left roller arm 11 and a right roller arm 12, said roller 18 is shaken until brought into contact with a receiving roller 10. By this constitution, since the feed roller 18 is supported in a movable manner and two pinch roller 20 and receiving roller 10 are brought into contact with the feed roller 18 under pressure by the spring 21, a mechanism becomes simple and, since the pressure contact mechanism on the side of the receiving roller 10 is eliminated, the receiving roller 10 can be arranged in the vicinity of a recording head 4 and the lower blank of the recording medium can be reduced. |
