PURPOSE:To prevent that the distribution of the line of electric force of the electric field formed from a dot corresponding electrode side to an opposed electrode side is spread in a sub-scanning direction to an extent wider than a necessary minimum, by setting the width of an opposed electrode in the sub- scanning direction to the thickness (h) of the normal conductive ink to be flown allowed to fill on a dot corresponding electrode or less. CONSTITUTION:The width of an opposed electrode 3 in a sub-scanning direction is set to the thickness (h) of the normal conductive ink 1 to be flown allowed to fill on a dot corresponding electrode 1 or less. When potential is applied to the dot corresponding electrode 1 and the opposed electrode 3 so that predeter mined potential difference is generated between the dot corresponding electrode 1 corresponding to the dot printing position based on image data and the op posed electrode 3, the line (f) of electric force of the electric field formed be tween the conductive ink 1 in which charge is injected through the dot corre sponding electrode 1 and the opposed electrode 3 is throttled to a range of the width (h) or less. By this method, when the conductive ink having the thick ness (h) flies along the line (f) of electric force, the flight route thereof almost straightly advances toward a recording sheet 2. |
