PURPOSE:To sufficiently remove unnecessary elements in presintering and to obtain the title high-density and high-strength superconductor having excellent critical current density by carrying out calcination at the time of calcining a mixed powder contg. specified amts. of raw compds., presintering, and then sintering the calcined product to produce the superconductor. CONSTITUTION:The specified amts. of the compds. contg. the respective elements constituting the oxide superconductor expressed by A-B-C-D are weighed, and mixed to obtain the mixed powder as the starting material (A is rare-earth elements including Y and Sc, B is Sr, Ba, Ca, Be, Mg, and Ra, C is Cu or >=2 kinds including Cu among Cu, Ag, Au, and Nb, and D is >=1 kind contg. O among F, Cl, etc., and O). The mixed powder is calcined at 800-910 deg.C to sufficiently remove unnecessary elements and presintered, then the calcined product is crushed, if necessary, sized, mixed, and formed, and the formed product is sintered at 800-950 deg.C for 6-50hr in an O2-contg. atmosphere. |
