PURPOSE:To easily produce a homogeneous superconducting material without varying the superconductivity transition temp. of rare earth element-Ba-Cu oxide by substituting a specified amt. of Mg for part of Ba in the oxide. CONSTITUTION:This oxide superconducting material is represented by the formula (where Ln is one or more kinds of metals selected among Y, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu and 0.01<=z<=0.3). The material is provided with characteristics comparable to those of rare earth element-Ba-Cu oxide by heat treatment in the air without carrying out heat treatment in oxygen and is not decomposed even by heat treatment at 1,050 deg.C. In case of z=0, the temp. of the material at which the resistance begins to lower suddenly by calcining in the air is reduced. |
