PURPOSE:To manufacture a powder spread for sintering useful for preventing the welding between a base and a product by mixing powdered electromelted alumina and powdered agalmatolite having respectively specified grain sizes in a specific proportion. CONSTITUTION:Powdered electromelted alumina of <=100mu, preferably <=about 44mu, grain size and powdered agalmatolite of <=200mu, preferably <=about 149mu, grain size are mixed in 1:1-1:5 weight ratio. Further, the above powdered electromelted alumina is prepared by electromelting the alumina formed by a Bayer's process, etc., and has inactive surface, and the above agalmatolite is principally composed of pyrophillite and has superior sintering characteristics and also the characteristic of being reduced in expansion and shrinkage at the time of sintering. By this method, the welding between a base and a product at the time of sintering can be prevented by using this powder mixture. |
