<p>The signal-to-noise ratio of a transimpedance operational amplifier (122) is enhanced by employing a large feedback resistor (Ra). Bandwidth lost in the process recaptured by a compensation network (130A) without reducing the signal-to-noise ratio. The compensation network (130A) provides a zero which cancels the upper 3db pole of the transimpedance amplifier (122), and also provides a high frequency pole defining the restored bandwidth of amplifier (122).</p> |
