In a known device, the adapter device comprises two sets of side-by-side printed circuit boards each having on their input edge contacts spaced at half the normal grid pitch. Strip conductors connect these contacts with contact elements on an output edge opposite the input edge. These contact elements are located the normaal grid pitch apart. When the two sets of printed circuit boards are superimposed crosswise, a printed circuit board having a small grid pitch to be tested can be connected with contact surfaces in a standard pitch. The contact elements located on the lower surface make it more difficult to support the adapter device when contact is establish with the test board. In the device disclosed, the contact elements (7) are arranged in sequence in the region of at least one output edge (6) adjacent to the input edge (12) of each printed circuit board (1) in the direction of said output edge (6). Contact pieces (9) of an electrical connection field (10) are located in boreholes (8) in one output edge (6) which extend as far as the contact elements (7). By means of the device, the adapter can be easily and adequately supported on the side opposite the printed circuit board under test. |
