An exhibition stand is composed of portable base elements, namely vertical pillars (1) for easily mounting joining stays (2) that extend horizontally between the pillars, that support if necessary wall or booth elements and that are composed of length adjustable, telescopically retractable staying elements (3, 4). The staying elements (3, 4) have two bearing rails (3) that extend transversely to a pillar (1) and a common joining sleeve (4) into which the bearing rails (3) can be frontally pushed by their free extremities. In order to obtain exhibition stands that can be easily adapted to the most varied circumstances, that can be easily built with the same base elements, and the size of which can be adapted to the space available, a snap-on rail (21) arranged at the frontal fastening end of each bearing rail (3) can be joined to a counter-rail (23) arranged on the pillar and the dimensions of which match those of the snap-on rail (21), that is pushed in the direction of the length of the bearing rail, in order to establish an easily detachable link with the pillar (1), or the snap-on rail (21) can be joined to a bearing rail assembly (24) that extends along the joining sleeve (4), by being pushed transversely to the bearing rail, in order to establish an easily detachable link with the joining sleeve (4). |
