<p>An electrophotographic printing device has a closed-cycle regulator for acquiring and regulating the essential operational parameters of the electrophotographic process. It includes a first regulating step for stabilising the electrophotographic process on the photoconductor (12) by regulating the charging potential (18) and the discharge exposure (17), and by acquiring and monitoring the residual potential (SL). It further includes a second regulating step for ensuring and optimising the development of the charge image by regulating the toner supply to the development region (14) and the inking of the charge image; and a third regulating step for ensuring and optimising duplication by acquiring the specific values of the recording media and regulating the corona device (UK).</p> |
