<p>2-(6-methoxy-2-naphthyl)propionic acid (I) is prepd. by 34 claimed methods from derivs. of (I) which include (cyclo)alk-2-enyl-, 1-aralkyl-, alkyl-, alkenyl-beta-haloalkyl-, aldoxime-, amide-, substd. acid- and alcohol-,. One such method is to hydrolyse the ester in a 0.1-5% vol. soln. of acid in a suitable stable solvent at a temp. of 10 degrees C to b.pt. of soln. Cpds. are anti-inflammatories, analgesics, antipyretics and pain killers.</p> |
