PURPOSE:To print an enlarged character other than double em even on recording paper having a size other than a prescribed size, by driving a printing head corresponding to a housing movement detection signal to supply printing data to the printing head. CONSTITUTION:The printer control part 60 of a manual printer 11 enlarges inputted printing character data corresponding to the printing magnification set to a printing magnification register 62 to transmit the same to a printing data buffer 63 and the printing character data is outputted to a thermal head 27 through a head driving circuit 64 to be printed on recording paper A2. In this case, the encoder pulse from an encoder 44 is inputted to the head driving control part 64 and, in synchronous relation to said pulse, the character data inputted from a printing character generator 59 through the printer control part 60 and printing data buffer 63 is transmitted to the thermal head 27 at every one line. A magnification judge part 61 forcibly sets the set printing magnification in the printing magnification register 62 to quadruple em when the magnification data of printing data exceeds quadruple em to adapt the same to the size (96-dot) of the thermal head 27. |
