PURPOSE:To change the height of a column automatically in accordance with the mold thickness by screwing a column upper section cap on the outer periphery of a lower section column disposed in the form of the upper surface of a lifting table and providing a rotating mechanism for the upper section cap and a height sensor. CONSTITUTION:When a tire is vulcanized, top and bottom forces 3 and 4 are clamped, and clamping force is applied to a lower section column 1 of the upper face of a lifting table 9 by a pressurizing cylinder 2 through a pressurizing spacer 31. In case the mold thickness is changed, a cap 1a screwed to the upper end of a lower column 1 is lifted or lowered to be set at the given height. The upper section cap 1a of a height adjusting device is lifted and lowered by a rotating mechanism 41 and controlled by the beams from a height sensor 5 such as a photoelectric switch or the like mounted on a fixed frame 12. Thus, the height adjustment for the change of mold thickness can be carried out quickly and efficiently. Also, erroneous height adjustment of the column based on the different mold thickness can be prevented, and also damages to a pressurizing spacer 31 can be prevented by interlocking based on a signal from the photoelectric switch. |
