PURPOSE:To prevent photodeterioration of a charge transfer material by white light by providing an amorphous carbon film which absorbs >=90% light to be the cause for deterioration of the characteristics of the photosensitive body to said photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The amorphous carbon film which absorbs >=90% light to be the cause for the deterioration of the characteristics of the photosensitive body is provided to said body. The amorphous carbon film can be formed by plasma polymn. of a glow discharge method. This amorphous carbon film is the org. polymerized film which is crosslinked and branched to a high degree. The film assumes a graphite structure or pseudo diamond structure in some cases and is obtd. as the extremely hard film. The photodeterioration of the charge transfer material incorporated into the photosensitive layer by the white light is thereby prevented and the good initial electrostatic potential is obtd. even if the photosensitive layer is subjected to repeated photoirradiation. The good photosensitive body which obviates the degradation of the image density, void, etc., is thus obtd. |
