PURPOSE:To perform printing at a high speed, in a dot line printer having a plurality of heads, by storing the data to be printed next in a pin especially during the driving of said pin. CONSTITUTION:A decoder 11 sends out a decoded pin selection signal to a supply means 26 and, corresponding to a printing speed, the change-over signal corresponding to the supply interval of the exciting current sent out to a magnet coil 22 is sent out to the supply means 26 from a terminal SELb. Therefore, the supply means 26 alternately sends out data showing whether the magnet coil 22 is selected to a memory means 27 or 28 on the basis of said change-over signal. By this method, the memory means 27, 28 receive data showing whether the magnet coil 22 is to be selected next from the supply means 26 during a time when the magnet coil 22 is selected and excited for the sake of printing to store the same and successively sends out said data through an indication means 29. Therefore, a time wherein a processor sets data to the decoder 11 can be set to 0 apparently and the load of the processor is reduced and a printing speed can be increased. |
