PURPOSE:To prevent a system down by using a normal processor as an alternative one when abnormality has occurred in a processor, storing conversion information into a table, thereafter, referring to the conversion table and converting the logical/physical number of the processor. CONSTITUTION:In a diagnosis at the time of a system rise, when the processor having a physical number 2 (at an initial time, having a logical number #2) becomes defective, a diagnosis result table 21 is set. Consequently, in the part of the logical number #3 on the conversion table 22, the most significant bit is at '1', and it indicates the unusableness of the processor. Further, a physical number 3 is set at the part of the logical number #2, and a normal processor 3 instead of the defective processor 2 is used as the processor having the logical number #2. Thus, the system is made into the condition of a degenerate operation, software is notified only of the fact of the degenerate operation, and the system down is not generated. |
