PURPOSE:To initialize both sides medium after sticking by impressing an external magnetic field to satisfy specific conditions of the both sides medium obtained with sticking two magneto-optical recording media in which the coercive force of recording films is different. CONSTITUTION:The types of the coercive force of recording film layers 1 and 2 are respectively set at H1 and H2, and they are set to satisfy the relation H1>H2. First, an external magnetic field H11 being H1<H11 is impressed so that the magnetization of the recording film layer 1 may face an initializing direction, the recording film layer 1 is initialized, and the magnetizing direction of the recording film layer 2 is set at the same direction as that of the recording film layer 1. Next, when the magnetizing direction of the recording film layer 2 is necessary to be oppositely faced, an external magnetic field H12 being H1>H12>H2 is impressed in the opposite direction to the former case, and without inverting the magnetizing direction of the recording film layer 1, only the magnetizing direction of the recording film layer 2 can be inverted into initializing direction of the recording film layer 2. Thus, the double surface medium can be simply initialized by the external magnetic field. |
