The invention relates to a telescopic cylinder system with several single-stage or multi-stage hydraulic cylinders connected to one another, in which the oil supply for the piston-base side is effected through the hollow piston rod and a central pipe through the piston base via external pipelines to the other cylinders. In order to ensure that, although common admission of oil to all cylinders is simultaneously possible, the effective piston areas can also be acted upon here independently of one another, it is proposed by the invention that the lines through all cylinders be continuously connected and that the pressure spaces be acted upon via separately and hydraulically power-actuated valves which are connected in parallel with the central pipelines. All individual cylinders can thereby be entirely of the same design so that a modular system with any number of cylinders can be set up without changing the individual cylinders. Electronic remote control can also be used, which enables the trailing lines to be completely dispensed with. The system is preferably used in mobile cranes.
