PURPOSE:To obtain a laser beam mark with high printing quality without a bridge by forming it of a metal layer and a polyolefin resin layer having an opening part with a shape for the laser beam mark. CONSTITUTION:Metallic foil where the mark is cut out is stuck to a polyethylene resin film with adhesives to form the mask. This mask is fitted between a cylindrical lens and a meniscus lens of a pulse oscillation type carbon dioxide gas laser beam machine so that the metallic foil comes to the light source side and a pulse is projected on a transparent hard vinyl chloride plate to carry out marking. By this method, the clear and satisfactory mark without the bridge is obtained.
