PURPOSE:To secure a large working space in front of a machine, by providing a working head for the conveyance, mounting and demounting of a workpiece so that the head can be moved on a required route through a guide and an engaging member. CONSTITUTION:After a workpiece W is machined, one mounting/demounting unit 34 of a working head 3 takes out the machined workpiece and the other mounting/demounting unit 35 mounts a not-yet-machined workpiece W on a machine tool. A magnet roller 46 is moved along a guide surface 50 through a rocking link 23 while being attracted on the guide surface. At that time, a support 31 and a working head 33 are moved from the machine tool to a conveyor through a linkage 22. When the working head 33 is put on the conveyor, the mounting/ demounting units 34, 35 alternately act to pick up the not-yet-machined workpiece W from the conveyor and return the already-machined workpiece W onto the conveyor. |
