PURPOSE:To galley-output a printing element necessary to color proof reading from an inexpensive commercial color picture output means by color-outputting a printing color proof reading picture based on the color proof reading pixel picture data prepared from extracted pseudo mask scanning line data and pixel data. CONSTITUTION:When mask data and pixel data are stripped by a layout means, an extracting means 1b scans and retrieves the mask data stripped at a pixel data unit, extracts pseudo mask scanning line data and from the pseudo mask scanning line data and the pixel data stripped by a layout means, a data preparing means 1c prepares the color proof reading pixel data for proof reading a color and outputs them to a color picture output means. A color proof reading color picture is obtained as a hard copy from a color picture output means 3. Thus, the color proof reading picture for printing can be outputted at an inexpensive cost from a commercial color picture output device. |
