The invention relates to a loading bridge which is assigned, for the lower swivel position, an abutment and a limit switch for returning the bridge to the normal position. In order to prevent return to the zero position from taking place unintentionally in the case of low vehicles, the limit switch responds, on the basis of the invention, shortly before the lower limit position of the bridge, while it is ineffective in the supported position on the abutment.
