The invention relates to a vehicle wheel with a pneumatic tyre, consisting of a rim, which is manufactured from sheet-metal or ribbon material and has radially inwardly extending rim flanges and an outer continuous support face, and a wheel disc which is connected to the rim. In order to be able to manufacture a wheel of this kind cost-effectively, preferably by pressing, it is proposed according to the invention that the rim consist of two rim halves (1,2) which are constructed in an approximately mirror-inverted fashion and each have a virtually planar outer support face (3,4) extending parallel to the axis of the wheel and a flange (7,8) extending radially inwards in the centre of the rim, and are connected securely to one another at least at one point in the region of the adjoining flanges (7,8), and the flange (7,8) of at least one of the two rim halves (1,2) be continuous with a part which forms the wheel disc (11) and whose wall thickness (13) is the same or greater in the mirror area than that (15) of the rim halves (1,2). <IMAGE>
