DIGITAL MAGNETIC RECORDING CIRCUIT

A digital magnetic recording circuit for a recording and playback apparatus which records input digital signals into a plurality of tracks (ch1-chn) formed in a recording medium (T). The circuit changes the potential at a common junction of record heads (M1-Mn) in response to input digital data. A single control circuit suffices to apply a constant current to each record head (M1-Mn) with no regard to input digital data. The number of switching elements per track is reduced to in turn reduce power losses attributable to switching elements.
