PURPOSE:To reduce installation cost and installation space, by conveying a pallet fixed with an object pipe, and enabling the centering of a straight pipe and bend to the central part of an edge preparing machine. CONSTITUTION:A pallet 23 fixed with a straight pipe 22 is conveyed to an edge preparing machine 21, and after the edge of the pipe 22 is beveled with said machine, the pallet 23 is moved to the outside of a line 20. A pallet 25 fixed with a bend 24 is conveyed to the machine 21 in the same way as mentioned above and the edge of the bend 24 is beveled. Both pallets 23, 25 are brought in proximity to each other on the line 20, and the beveled edges 26, 27 of the pipe 22 and the bend 24 are butted and tack welded to each other. The installation cost and installation space are reduced by the above-mentioned method. |
