PURPOSE:To eliminate the warp of a sheet with a simple construction, by a method wherein a warp correcting means consisting of a sheet guide member having a curved surface making the recording surface of a sheet curved inward and a pressing member holding the sheet with the curved surface of the sheet guide member is provided on the downstream of fixing means. CONSTITUTION:A warp correcting means consisting of a sheet guide member 109 having a curved surface making the printing surface of a sheet curved inward and a pressing roller 10 facing the curved surface is disposed on the downstream of fixing means 103, 104 in a feed direction. A warp due to the difference in moisture retention degree between the printing surface of a sheet 102 and the back surface thereof generated by the fixing means 103, 104 is naturally eliminated if the sheet 102 is adapted to an environment in a short time after passing through the fixing means 103, 104. However, in order to eliminate the various troubles in a sheet feeding which are attributed to a warp due to a temporary change in moisture retention, a mechanical warp- correction by the correcting means 109 and 110 is effective. |
