PURPOSE:To improve low-temperature characteristics and high-temperature load characteristics by bringing the quantity of an electrolytic solution to specific times as large as air-gap volume computed from the air-gap ratios of a separator and a polarizable electrode. CONSTITUTION:Polarizable electrodes 1, 2 are manufactured, using activated carbon, activated carbon fiber, carbon black, etc., as materials, and have porosity. The quantity of an electrolytic solution filled is brought to 1.1-1.6 times as large as air-gap volume computed from the air gap ratios of a separator 3 and the polarizable electrodes 1, 2. The air gap ratios of the polarizable electrodes 1, 2 extend over 40-90vol.% and the air gap ratio of the separator 3 over 30-90vol.% in general, but it is preferable that both air gap ratios extend over 60vol.% or more according to the facility of the impregnation of the electrolytic solution and the quantity of the solution held. |
