PURPOSE:To obtain a multi-color image with high coloring density and little fogging, by providing an intermediate layer formed by gelling a water-soluble polyanion polymer with a polyvalent cation between respective color forming layers. CONSTITUTION:As an intermediate layer, a layer gelling particularly a water-soluble polyanion polymer with a polyvalent cation is used between a first color forming layer and a second color forming layer. As the water-soluble polyanion polymer, an alginic alkali-metallic salt is preferably used. In the forming of the intermediate layer, it is preferable that either of the aforesaid materials is incorporated in the first or second color forming layer before coating for the prevention of a rapid gelling during coating. Furthermore, a temperature or pH can be regulated. As an alternative method, one of the materials can be incorporated in the first color forming layer and the other can be in the second color forming layer is the same manner. The intermediate layer is desirably applied in the amount of 0.05-5g/m<2>, more preferably 0.1-2g/m<2>. |
