PURPOSE:To decrease the longitudinal size of a parking brake device by liftably supporting an operation lever on a support member installed at the center of a floor, rotating a gear member in response to the lifting and lowering operation, and performing the push-pull operation of a brake wire. CONSTITUTION:This parking brake device 6 is fitted to the front face of an engine deck protruded on a vehicle floor between a driver's seat and an assistant's seat and has a support member 8. An operation lever 9 is liftably supported on this support member 8, a gear member 11 rotatable around a shaft 10 engaged with a rack gear 22 formed on the periphery of the operation lever 9 and the rotary member 13 of a sector gear structure rotated by the rotation of the gear member 11 via a small gear 21 are provided. The end of a brake wire 14 is connected to the side periphery of the rotary member 13 via a connecting bracket 23, and a brake mechanism is operated by the push-pull operation of this brake wire 14. |
