A band clamp comprises a body 20 with a strap 22 extending from one side and a buckle 24 hinged to the opposite side, the body has a key hole slot for mounting the clamp one on a headed stud 28 and the strap has a series of transverse ridges 48, one of which engages an edge of a slot 25 in the buckle to retain the strap in cable clamping position. The end portion of the strap has a second series of tranverse ribs 56 to hinder withdrawal of the strap through the slot. The key hole slot has a ramp at each side of the narrow portion of the slot leading to a seat for the head of the stud. The narrow portion has two detents which prevent disengagement of the stud from the slot. The clamp is made of plastics material. |
