PURPOSE:To contrive smoothening of a paper-supplying operation, by detecting and counting perforations in a printer paper, and outputting a paper run-out alarm when the counted number coincides with a preset number. CONSTITUTION:A printer paper 3 is continuously fed out from a printer 1. When a fold line part makes contact with a support part 4a, a perforation detector 5 detects a perforation at the fold line part. The detector 5 generates pulses the number of which corresponds to the number of the perforations counted, and a counter circuit 6 counts the pulses. The perforation detector 5 can detect the perforation at the fold line part A, but can not detect a perforation provided at a remote fold line part B, so that one detection of the perforation is made each time a two sheet amount of the printer paper 3 is passed. The counted number is doubled by a doubling circuit 7. A coincidence circuit 9 compares the counted number thus obtained with an alarming sheet number outputted from a reference level setter 8, and when both signals thus compared coincide with each other, the circuit 9 causes an alarm generating circuit 10 to output an alarm. |
